Exacompta :: For people who like to write Exacompta was founded in Paris as a printing and binding works to produce accounting ledgers. At a time when accounting was done by hand, Exacompta manufactured ledgers of exceptional quality. These books were finely bound, with thick paper. The print was crisp and clear. In an era when many products were produced by craftsmen, Exacompta was known for its consistent quality. The company was started by Charles Nusse, grandson of the founder of Clairefontaine. The two trees in the logo represent the vast forests of fir and pine in the home region of the Nusse family, the Vosges. The special heritage of Exacompta products continues today in the look and feel of hand-finished planners and diaries. Exacompta employs sewn signatures of paper; mean means the paper has greater flexibility and stability, but won’t become loose and fall out of the book with use. Like all good paper, strong, extra smooth vellum has a fresh scent and feels good to the fingers. Perfect glazing allows your pen nib to glide over the paper. Back to Top
