Made in Japan, these unique and reusable Shimazome journals are a fusion of texture, color and function. Decorated with delicately crinkled Japanese paper, the rich, earthy tones are the product of hand-dyed craftsmanship (Shima, is defined as stripe and zome, means dyeing). Inside, however, this journal is just as nice. On the left is an angular pocket for all those loose notes, reminders and receipts, while on the binding is a place to store a writing utensil. On the right is a removable blank tablet made from acid-free white kozo recycled pulp, suitable for pencil or ink. With its reusable cover, this journal is perfect for note taking and sketching - simply refill as needed.
