Filly Designs

After dropping out of law school, getting back to her roots, and following her heart, Emily Christensen for the first time felt truly competent and at home in her own skin. Appreciating her body and “hands strong and stained by the day”, she was inspired to go to design school to capture and create clothes to celebrate everyday motion - "function unexpectedly beautiful". She then created Filly, based in Portland, Oregon. The fabric is a durable, almost workmanlike material, while the cut and color is distinctly feminine. There are no zippers, buttons, or fasteners of any type — the pull-on fit is flattering, the colors are yummy and the silhouette is of clean lines rendered in womanly curves.
